Cleaning your swimming pool

Having a swimming pool can be great in the summer months, but you have to remember there’s a lot of maintenance tasks required to keep it in good shape. It’s not just leaves, dirt and flies that need cleaning from your pool, the tiles around the pool, the pumps, the filters and the heating devices all need regular maintenance too. It’s not an easy job and that’s why many hotels and villas pay gardeners to carry out the work, but you need to be prepared to get your hands dirty if you’re going to be maintaining your own swimming pool. You can’t just sit back and expect it to take care of itself, so to keep it looking good make sure you’re cleaning your pool at least once a day, even if you’re not using it once a day. You’ll be surprised at how filthy the water and surfaces can get in such a short amount of time, especially if it’s an outdoor pool.
